The panel goes in clean. These five causes account for most of what we’re called in for.

Damage almost never means replacement.

    Scraping paint with a blade leaves straight, deep marks.

    Cured material scrapes off badly and drags grit across the glass.

    The spark lands hot, embeds and fuses into the surface.

The objection

That’s why almost nobody polishes it.

Polishing means grinding. Grinding leaves a lens. And the lens shows from the street, right across the façade.

On tempered glass, grinding also reaches the tempering envelope, the compression layer that holds the temper. Replacing the panel is expensive, but it’s predictable.

The process

Five stages, on site.

Each stage has its own pad, and the color is the code: orange cleans, black corrects, gray brings the finish back, white closes it out.

    Prep

    Cleans and prepares the surface to be restored.

  2. Dry pass pads, phases 1 through 4

    Phases 1 through 4: takes the scratches out.

    Haze removal

    Brings back the natural clarity of the glass.

  4. Perforated water pad
    Stage 04

    Wet pass

    Clears shadowing and closes the surface.

    Removes anything left on the surface.

The proof

If the panel was ground down, the grid shows it.

We reflect a grid onto the panel and photograph it from the same angle, before and after. If it was ground down, the lines curve. If it’s still flat, they stay straight.

Materials

What we don’t treat
  • Broken or cracked glass — that one does need replacing.
  • Coated glass and textured glass.
  • Very deep scratches close to the frame.

It can be done with the building occupied.

Water-based, pH neutral, non-flammable, and unrestricted for transport. Safety glasses and gloves is all the protection it calls for.

Rope access

Crew certified for rope access work on façades.
